After all, at the bare minimum, he committed several felonious acts during the show. While many viewers hoped Darrien from Baby Reindeer would have his real name revealed, that’s not the case.
Instead of naming and shaming his actual abuser, Richard Gadd, the man Donny is based on, has decided to keep his identity a secret.
Gadd has gone so far as to plead with his audience not to go looking for Darrien in real life. No candidates for Darrien have been found aside from some crackpot fan theories.
Gadd claims that enough details were changed for Baby Reindeer that people would have a hard time finding any of the people the characters it is based on.
