As you venture through deep, dark biomes in , you may stumble upon an ancient city. These black palaces are full of useful loot and strange Redstone circuitry.
Ancient cities were added to the game in Version 1.19 and can offer rare items like diamond horse armor, enchanted golden apples, or enchanted diamond leggings. Ancient cities spawn on layer -51 with more Sculk Shriekers than a regular deep dark cave.
These Sculk Shriekers could summon a warden if players are not careful enough. While the layer location of the ancient city's floor is the same across all seeds, finding an ancient city on a regular random seed can be a struggle.
Luckily, players have collected a respectable list of seeds from ancient cities you can loot to your heart's content. When you spawn onto this map, you'll find yourself on a frozen peak with snowy trees spilling down the mountainside.
Head down the western slope, and you'll spot a crack in the earth leading deeper underground. This crack provides easy access to the ancient city lurking under your spawn point.
