Final Fantasy XIV – the best places to visit before Dawntrail

We’re getting ever closer to that all-important release date of 2 nd July and our first visit to Tural, the supposed “New World” of Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail, and based on the trailer we’re in for another amazing experience. The sweeping vistas, local cultures, and – of course – the food all look enticing. It’s shaping up to be the holiday we (and the Warrior of Light) have been waiting for. It’s not the easiest place to get to, given that you must travel through Dravania to reach them, but those without a fear of heights will love the views from the floating islands of The Churning Mists. One for thrill seekers, regardless of vertigo, as you need to be constantly aware of the dragons that reside in the region and there aren’t any safety rails to be seen anywhere. The tourist bureau also advises that you keep a keen eye on your belongings as moogles are known to frequent the area.

Nestled beneath the waves of the Ruby Sea, yes you read that right, is the beautiful town of Tamamizu. Inhabited by the industrious kojin, this underwater dome contains some of the most breathtaking sights in Eorzea, and you don’t even have to hold your breath to witness them. Once you’ve settled into the town, you can also pay a small fee for excursions to nearby sights like the Shisui of the Violet Tides, a resplendent palace between the waves. The only downside is having the lung capacity to get there!

You deserve to treat yourself, and nowhere says decadence more than Eulmore.
