4th December marks Dragon Age Day on the BioWare calendar, and so the developer's dishing out some surprise presents.
To start with, it's launched a standalone version of the character creator from Dragon Age: The Veilguard. You can download it for free on PS5, and spend a ridiculous amount of time crafting your ideal hero. You can then import your protagonist to the full game, should you decide to snap it up in the future.
Patch 4 is releasing today as well, and it's adding Hawke's armour to the action RPG. Hawke was the main player character in Dragon Age 2, and said armour sported a rather unique and recognisable design.
You can find this nostalgic armour set at the Lighthouse, after completing the main story quest 'The Singing Blade'.
As for the patch notes, we've gathered them below:

Are you still playing Dragon Age: The Veilguard? Might you give the character creator a try? Spend far too long tweaking your iris colour in the comments section below.
Robert (or Rob if you're lazy) is an assistant editor of Push Square, and has been a fan of PlayStation since the 90s, when Tekken 2 introduced him to the incredible world of video games. He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Persona, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Trails, Tales — he's played 'em all. A little too much, some might say.
Such a cool idea — whenever I buy RPGs like this my entire first evening playing them is just four hours of faffing about with the character creator, so it'll be nice to hit the ground running when I finally pull the trigger on the game!
@Andee I’d try and create myself and end up with something like a disfigured Hugo Weaving so now I just leave it
I'm about 50 hours in and still absolutely enamored
Woah! I'm so hyped! I can finally practice roleplaying as who I feel like inside.
