Baldur's Gate 3 Player Discovers Hilarious Way To Break The Deal With Raphael

It seems Larian Studios thought of just about everything when crafting , and the various loopholes players have found to get out of significant boss fights can be both hilarious and innovative. A video from a particularly creative player shows how pushing NPCs’ buttons is sometimes the best way to get out of a future boss fight.

TikToker and Twitch streamer LexyTV shared a clip of herself from a stream in which she essentially annoyed Raphael until he took his proposed bargain off the table. “” she asks her chat before kidnapping him in Devil’s Den and taking him to a platform overlooking the water via the Grey Harbor Docks waypoint. Astarion then successfully pushes Raphael off the platform and into the water.

Given that Raphael is a cambion, he materializes again on the platform in front of Lexy’s party, seemingly whole. The journal update suggested her party speak with the devil — but instead of following directions, she decided to push Raphael off the cliff twice more. After the third plummet into the water, he growls “Enough! The deal is off the table,” before disappearing. The “Deal with the Devil” quest then marks itself as complete in her journal, noting “

There are many evil characters in Baldur’s Gate 3, from murderous to racist, but some can exceed players’ expectations when it comes to being vile.

Lexy accomplished this feat by using the well-shared kidnapping glitch players typically use to get rid of Gortash early. Technically, players aren’t supposed to be able to kidnap NPCs, but this bug has been highly exploited to result in some hilarious situations.

To kidnap a character in, players want to select a companion that can use an improvised melee weapon and has a high enough strength to pick up their target. Karlach is great for this, though Lexy seems to have respec'd Astarion to pass these strength checks. Select the improvised melee weapon option from the action bar and then the designated kidnapping victim.
