A feature-length making-of documentary is officially on the way. The upcoming documentary hits Screambox in early 2025, set to bring viewers an inside look at the production process of the hit indie slasher.
The Terrifier 3 making-of documentary is directed and produced by Gary Smart and John Campopiano. It hails from Cult Screenings UK, the team behind Pennywise: The Story of It and Hollywood Dreams & Nightmares: The Robert Englund Story.
Variety reports that the documentary will be called, billed as a “full dive into how the Terrifier 3 team brought various brutal kills and bloody effects to life in the latest slasher entry.”
Art Attack! The Dissection of Terrifier 3 will feature new behind-the-scenes footage as well as interviews with director Damien Leone, the film’s cast members, and producer Phil Falcone.
“‘Art Attack!’ is an extraordinary look at how Damien, Phil and team took ‘Terrifier 3’ to new levels of horror. Fans will get an in-depth view of the artistry and craft that pushed the boundaries of the genre and lead to the #1 movie in America,” said Cineverse executive director of acquisitions Brandon Hill (via Variety).
Compared to the first Terrifier outing, the third installment — similar to the second one — debuted to favorable reviews. The feature also impressed at the box office, earning over $18 million during its opening weekend. Overall, the movie has garnered over $87 million from cinemas worldwide.
Terrifier 3 is now available for rent or own on VOD platforms, with the Blu-ray and DVD version releasing on December 17, 2024.
