This near-week-long event kicks off on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 10 am local time and runs until Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 8 pm local time. This follows on from several smaller events with lesser rewards, such as the Scattered To The Winds event.

The event is a must-play for trainers due to the number of bonuses and new available features. While Tour: Unova is set to feature several significant debuts, the Road to Unova event does not, but it does include a new shiny debut. A new set of paid research will be added to the game at the event's start. This research will lead to a guaranteed encounter with Shiny Meloetta once you have completed all the stages.

The research task series is called Masterwork Research and has no expiry date. Once you have bought the ticket to unlock it, you can complete it whenever you like.

The tickets for the Masterwork Research cost $4.99 or the equivalent local currency. They will be available to buy until Sunday March 2 2025.
