may have just ended, but a recent update on a Season 2 of the show suggests fans won’t have to wait very long for more.
Speaking to Collider in a recent interview, Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum said that he thinks fans will see “Season 2 in ’26, I think.” However, Winderbaum stressed that in animation, there is usually a bigger gap in between Seasons 1 and 2 of a project, hinting that Season 2 of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man might not arrive until late 2026.
“We will have a Spider-Man season every year if I have anything to say about it,” said Winderbaum. “What usually happens, as you know, in animation, is that there’s a bigger gap between Season 1 and Season 2 than in subsequent seasons, and that’ll be similar in Friendly. We will have to wait a little bit more than a year for Season 2, but then after that, it should come out on an annual cadence, hopefully.”
Judging by his comments, it’s possible we could see a new season of the show as early as next year, albeit later than the beginning of the year.
