Shadow of the Ninja Reborn has a release date of August 29th

Shadow of the Ninja Reborn has been given a release date of August 29th, SEGA and NatsumeAtari have confirmed. The game originally released 33 years ago for the NES, and the original team has got back together to remaster Shadow of the Ninja for a new audience. You can see the gameplay in the trailer below.

Shadow of the Ninja Reborn will contain classic elements from the original release, but there have been some updates too. Though the game retains the 16-bit art style Hayate and Kaede, the two protagonists, have been given new designs. Every level scenes and all the enemies have been redrawn too. New weapons and items have been added to the game as well, including the gunpowder gun, cannonball, shuriken,  giant club, machete, iron caltrops and healing rice balls. As you can see in the trailer, co-op gameplay is included too, though Shadow of the Ninja Reborn can be played solo also. The game’s music has also been remastered and slightly altered for a new audience.
