Star Wars: The Last Jedi actress Kelly Marie Tran is reflecting on her time in the franchise, recalling her initial doubts about getting the role and subsequent happiness for it. Tran starred in Rian Johnson's 2017 film as Rose Tico, a mechanic for the Resistance who is mourning the death of her sister while also trying to help the Resistance find a way to evade the First Order's flagship currently pursuing them through space. Rose and Finn set off to the casino planet of Canto Bight to find a master codebreaker in the hopes of disabling the First Order's tracking system and allowing the Resistance a chance to escape.
