A video posted to TikTok featuring a group of three friends recreating an iconic scene from Turning Redhas gone viral. Turning Red, Pixar's latest animated feature, follows a thirteen-year-old Chinese-Canadian girl named Mei (Rosalie Chiang) navigating her relationship with herself, her family, and her friends. One morning, Mei wakes up and discovers that she turns into a red panda when she becomes emotional, which turns her life upside down. The panda serves as a brilliant metaphor for puberty and all the complex feelings of growing up. It was the first feature-length Pixar film directed solely by a woman, Domee Shi.
