Doctor Who Writer Hopes Scrapped Season 13 Episode Is Used In Future
A Doctor Who writer says he hopes that an episode he planned to write for season 13 will be used in future storylines. Doctor Who returned to screens this Easter with «Legend of the Sea Devils,» the second of the three planned 2022 Doctor Who specials. Written by showrunner Chris Chibnall and first-time Doctor Who writer, Ella Road, the episode saw the return of the Sea Devil creatures, last seen in 1984's “Warriors of the Deep." The episode, which received mixed reviews, is the penultimate story in Jodie Whittaker's run as the Thirteenth Doctor, with the third special (and Whittaker's regeneration) due to hit screens later this year. Whittaker's replacement as Doctor Who is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
