Casting The Batman Sequels' Potential Villains
As The Batman starts off a new trilogy, here are all the actors who could perfectly fit some potential villains to come. Paul Dano's Riddler in The Batman took inspiration from the likes of the Zodiac Killer, being a far cry from Jim Carrey's zany Ed Nygma/Riddler in Batman Forever and clearly cementing the grittier, darker, more realistic tone for Matt Reeves' The Batman trilogy. In The Batman's three-hour runtime is also Colin Farrell's Penguin and John Turturro's Carmine Falcone, whose interpretations both honored their respective villains' essence while they also provided a fresher take that complements Dano's reimagined Riddler. In fact, of all its prime villains, Turturro's Falcone might be The Batman's best villain change because of the movie's more in-depth exploration of the character, especially in comparison to previous interpretations.
