What a week it has been, with the sun finally showing its face again after a chilly April for the UK. We’ve still had plenty of time to play games though, and I’ve been continuing to plug away at Fallout 4 and No Rest for the Wicked, as well as taking some time to chill out with Endless Ocean: Luminous which is just a little bit too calm for its own good.
Besides that I’ve made a start on Sand Land for our review which will appear after the weekend.Firstly, we have to say a huge congratulations to our very own Nic Bunce, who, with his partner Tash (it’s fair to assume she did all the work) has welcomed baby Sebastian into the world this week!
This has meant he’s mostly been playing the game of sleep deprivation, but he’s still only at Lvl 1 – lvl 100 is where you start to see spiders everywhere, so hopefully he doesn’t get that far…Aran has had a much quieter week, playing about thirty minutes of Starfield and a similar amount of time on Outland, the platformer that Housemarque made over a decade ago, in an attempt to go through his Steam backlog.Gamoc has played Dave the Diver, saying, “It is excellent and weird”, and Fallout 4, which went as smoothly as you’d expect – “I had to kill an invisible Mirelurk queen last night because it’s still buggy as hell many years after its initial release as is typical for Bethesda”.It’s been an anticipated journey into Pentiment for Ade, but has it been worth the wait?
He says, “It took a looooong time to get going but I think I’m enjoying it now. Maybe? Characters are well rounded, the script is well-written, but I’m definitely not well-hooked.
