Remember Project Mugen, the upcoming urban open-world RPG getting developed by Naked Rain and published by NetEase? Well, firstly, Project Mugen has officially gone through a name change and is now called Ananta.
This RPG was first announced way back in August 2023 at Gamescom. And after what felt like forever with zero updates, they’ve finally dropped a new trailer.
Apparently, they have more scoop coming up on December 5th. But until then, check out the official trailer of Project Mugen/Ananta.
The devs haven’t said anything about it yet. Speaking of the name, Ananta means infinite in Sanskrit, which is kind of fitting because Mugen also means infinite.
The Chinese name also backs this up. Now, the gaming community, however, is split on the name change. But everyone is relieved that at least the project isn’t six feet under.
