Light Cones provide bonuses to characters in specific classes alongside unique effects that can benefit each roster member's individual playstyles, while Relics and Planar Ornaments provide more general boosts.
Now, new Relics and Planar Ornaments are reportedly coming with Version 2.3. While Light Cones are primarily acquired through Honkai: Star Rail's gacha and events, Relics and Planar Ornaments can be found throughout the in-game world.
Players can use their in-game Trailblaze Power for Honkai: Star Rail's «Cavern of Corrosion» challenges to earn more Relics, with a relic's individual stats randomized with each item.
