The release date has been set, with the highly anticipated remake of the iconic horror video game set for later this year.
During Sony’s State of Play event on Thursday, Konami revealed that the Silent Hill 2 remake would release on October 8, 2024. Alongside the release date, Konami also showed off a new gameplay video, highlighting the new looks at James and Mary/Maria in the upcoming game.

Along with the release date for the game, Konami also announced that preorders for the game were open now. A Deluxe Edition for the game was also confirmed, which features a variety of digital items as well as in-game items, including:
The Standard Edition of the game is also available to preorder, and those who do will also receive the Mira the Dog Mask and Robbie the Rabbit Mask. The Deluxe Edition of Silent Hill 2 costs $79.99, while the Standard Edition costs $59.99.
