M2 has announced Night Striker GEAR, a new entry following TAITO‘s 1989-released 3D shoot ’em up Night Striker. Platforms and a release date were not announced.
“While keeping textures achieved via scaling effects in tact, we are creating a beautiful new world in pixel art,” reads the announcement. “With the addition of the new ‘GEAR System,’ we’re delivering exhilarating gameplay with simple controls. Please look forward to further information, which will be announced by M2 at a later date.”
In related news, publisher TAITO and developer M2 also announced Operation Night Strikers, a collection including Night Striker and rail shooter Operation Wolf for PC. Read more here.
