Plot details for Ted Season 2 remain under wraps at this time, as an official logline has not yet been released. No premiere date has yet been announced by Peacock.
The Ted series serves as a prequel to the 2012 Ted movie and the 2015 sequel, Ted 2. MacFarlane directed both of those movies and voices the titular talking teddy bear.
Along with MacFarlane, the cast of the Ted series includes Max Burkholder as John Bennett (played by Mark Wahlberg in both of the Ted movies), Alanna Ubach as Susan Bennett, Scott Grimes as Matty Bennett, and Giorgia Whigham as Blaire Bennett.
“In this prequel series to the Ted films, it’s 1993, and Ted the bear’s (Seth MacFarlane) moment of fame has passed,” the synopsis for the first season reads. “He’s now living back home in Framingham, Massachusetts with his best friend, 16-year-old John Bennett (Max Burkholder), along with John’s parents, Matty and Susan (Scott Grimes and Alanna Ubach) and cousin Blaire (Giorgia Whigham). Ted may be a lousy influence on John, but at the end of the day, he’s a loyal pal who’s always willing to go out on a limb for friendship.”
All seven episodes of Ted Season 1 are currently streaming on Peacock. The Ted movie is streaming on Amazon Prime Video, while Ted 2 can only be rented or purchased from various streaming outlets at this time.
